What We Believe
Christ the Redeemer Church holds to the Five Solas of the Reformation:
- Sola Scriptura:
- The ultimate authority for worship and godly living is Holy Scripture, alone
- Solo Christo:
- Our salvation is found in Jesus Christ, alone
- Sola Gratia:
- Our salvation is granted by Gods mercy. We are incapable of our own salvation and rely entirely on Gods grace, alone
- Sola Fide:
- Our salvation was accomplished by the completed work of Jesus Christ. Our salvation is not secured by our works but by faith in Christ, alone
- Soli Deo Gloria:
- In everything and in particular our salvation, we give the glory to God, alone
Reformed Theology Study Handouts
For a more detailed statement of faith, we use the Westminster Confession of Faith as a standard for summarizing the teachings of the Bible. In addition to the Westminster Confession, we also support the use of the following
confessions of faith: The Apostle's Creed, The Nicene Creed , The Definition of Chalcedon, The Canons of Dordt, and The Heidelberg Catechism.
