What We Believe

Christ the Redeemer Church holds to the Five Solas of the Reformation:

Sola Scriptura:
The ultimate authority for worship and godly living is Holy Scripture, alone

Solo Christo:
Our salvation is found in Jesus Christ, alone

Sola Gratia:
Our salvation is granted by God’s mercy. We are incapable of our own salvation and rely entirely on God’s grace, alone

Sola Fide:
Our salvation was accomplished by the completed work of Jesus Christ. Our salvation is not secured by our works but by faith in Christ, alone

Soli Deo Gloria:
In everything and in particular our salvation, we give the glory to God, alone

Our Constitution

We use the following ancient historical creeds as confessions of our faith: The Apostle's Creed, The Nicene Creed , and The Definition of Chalcedon.

We also use the following historical confessions of faith as points of reference that we agree with inasmuch as they agree with each other: The Belgic Confession, Canons of Dordt, and Heidelberg Catechism (1618), The Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms (1647), and the London Baptist Confession of Faith (1689).
